BEHIND THE LENS
Giovanni Carta, italian photographer and filmmaker coming from journalism.
He graduated in Law at Luiss (Free International University of Social Studies in Rome) with a thesis in criminal law on "Crimes committed by means of the press"; he specialized in "Journalism and Mass Communication" at the same University, after a two-year postgraduate course. He worked in the editorial staff at Rai TG1, under the direction of Bruno Vespa, and in the RaiUno format "Unomattina". Later in the newspaper "La Repubblica", he has collaborated with the editors of the magazine "Il Venerdì". The passion for photography and direction showed up during his university years with the completion of his first photo books and self-produced short films, and continues to date with many photographic and cinematographic award winning works.
